NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti confirmed by Geekbench leak
The RTX 4070 Ti features 7680 CUDA cores and 12GB VRAM.
The ‘unlaunched’ RTX 4080 12GB card is now resurfacing under a new name, the RTX 4070 Ti. This card is now being delivered to reviewers who should publish their findings early next month. However, it appears that some spared no time testing the card with Geekbench software already.
The RTX 4070 Ti’s first appearance in the Geekbench confirms the basic specs. According to this entry, the card has a maximum frequency of 2730 MHz, features 60 Streaming Multiprocessors (7680 CUDA cores) and 12GB of memory. Those are the same specs as the RTX 4080 12GB that was eventually canceled.
The card was tested a few times with Geekbench OpenCL test (no Vulkan or CUDA tests were available at the time of writing). With those few runs, we can average the score to 214654 points, which is 45.8% faster than RTX 3070 Ti in the same test (according to official Geekbench compute ranking).
This score is actually even better than the just released Radeon RX 7900 XTX score (we’ve updated the chart with the most recent runs featuring this card). However, OpenCL does appear to favor NVIDIA GPUs and Radeon cards tend to perform better with Vulkan API.
It goes without saying, but those are just short synthetic tests. The RTX 4070 Ti is almost certainly going to perform differently with more advanced gaming workloads.
