We've been staring at MacBooks for a fair few hours now, and even though we're looking at them on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018, seeing as you asked), we still want to buy a new one. Why are they just so good-looking? We're looking at you, MacBook Pro 2020 and MacBook Pro 2021.

And as everyone knows, MacBooks do not come cheap. So today is quite literally the best day to buy one, at least until the post-Christmas sales come around (but by then, will there be any stock?)

We're currently torn between the 2020 MacBook Air for £1,099 at Amazon – saving 12% on the asking price and offering up 8GB or RAM and 512GB SSD. It's silver, too. Shiny.

If we were really gonna go for it, we'd get the 16-inch brand new MacBook Pro, also from Amazon, with 16GB RAM and a whopping 1TB SSD. That would set us back £2,499, a saving of £100. It's worth noting that the 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro with the same spec also costs around the same – £2,470 at Amazon, so you may as well buy the newer model.

Laptops Direct in the UK has some really tempting deals on various MacBooks. Highlights include:

If you want a 2020 MacBook Air (and why wouldn't you? It's a great machine), then you'll be pleased to know that our favourite discounts are still going strong on Cyber Monday.

In the US, you can get a MacBook Air (2020) with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for $829 at B&H Photo, this offer is on the gold model and now lasts until tomorrow night – ending at 11.59pm (EST). It saves you $170 so is certainly not to be sniffed at.

In the UK, the same model in silver is available for £889, down from £999 at Amazon. You can also get it in gold or space grey, just click through to your colour of choice.

AirPods 3

So are there any savings on other MacBook accessories this Cyber Monday? Well, if you're getting a MacBook and work in a shared office or anywhere with other people around, you'll almost certainly want a paid of AirPods. Apple released its new improved 3rd generation Air Pods just a month ago, so we expected to see savings across the older models, and indeed there are, but much to our surprise, there's also an impressive $30 off the new 2021 AirPods 3 at Amazon (now £149.99; $20 of the saving will be applied at checkout).

On the earlier models, Amazon has $40 off the AirPods 2 (now $114.99). But if you want active nose cancellation, you'll want to grab $70 off the Air Pods Pro (now $179) or, if you prefer an overear headphone, $70 off the AirPods Max

Amazon has savings on AirPods in the UK too, with £10 off the new 3rd generation Airpods , as well as£54 off the AirPod Pros with a MagSafe charging case and £90 off the AirPods Max.

As for other accessories, if you don't want to use the trackpad all the time, you can save £24.10 on the Apple Magic Mouse right now in the UK. Want to keep you MacBook in top condition? Apple's own sleeves are hugely expensive, but Amazon has £17 off Apple's leather sleeve for the 11in MacBook.

MacBook Pro Monitor

If you've chosen your deal and secured yourself a shiny new MacBook this Cyber Monday, you might want to check out deals on accessories too. Adding an external monitor for your MacBook can do wonders to improve your workflow – in fact, it's often essential for things like video editing. Fortunately, our top three choices of monitor in our guide to the best monitors for MacBook Pro have ALL come in for discounts this Cyber Monday.

Our top choice, the Dell UltraSharp 27 4K monitor in its top-of-the-range Premier Colour version with Thunderbolt 3 is available with $505 off, taking the price to $1,504.99 direct from Dell in the US, while in the UK, you can get £30 off the cheaper UHD version, now just £645.99 at Amazon.

For those who want a lot of screen, our pick as the best ultrawide monitor for the MacBook Pro for some time has been the MSI Prestige PS341WU. You can save $196 at Amazon in the US to get it for $1,003.99, or save £99 in the UK (now £999.99). Or for a saving on an already much more affordable monitor, number 3 on our list, the ASUS ProArt Display 27, is reduced by £100 to £399.97 at Laptops Direct in the UK, while in the US, the 4K version has been reduced by £45 to $454.99 at Best Buy.

MacBook Air 2020 M1

We were super tempted earlier with Amazon's UK price on the M1 MacBook Air (2020), now just £889. That's still available, but Currys has actually matched that price on the same machine. It's not advertising it as the same size saving as Amazon, but the final price is the same – the 2020 M1 Macbook Air for £889. Both retailers currently have it in stock in gold, silver and space grey, so it mainly comes down to personal preference which to choose, but anyone interested in spreading the cost might want to check our Currys since it offers the possibility of paying over up to 24 months interest-free.

The price above is for the 256GB storage version of the machine, but what about if you need more space? 255GB could fill up fairly quickly if you work a lot with video or other large files. Well, both Amazon and Currys are advertising savings on the 512GB SSD, 8GB memory version of the laptop, but while Amazon's advertising £132 off and Currys Only £17 off, Currys' price is actually the cheapest, getting you the 512GB M1 MacBook Air in silver for just £1,099.77.

And in the US? The best current price on the 2020 M1 MacBook Air is at Amazon, which has $100 off, taking the price down to $899, but if you're not bothered about Apple's M1 chip, B&H photo has $170 off the slightly earlier Intel-powered version of the same laptop for just $829. It seems that with newer MacBook Pros stealing all the attention, now´s definitely the time to consider snapping up a light but still very zippy MacBook Air.

Apple MacBook Pro

John Lewis in the UK has a number of great MacBook Cyber Monday deals on right now. Including money off the all-new 2021 MacBook Pro models

But if you don't need the almighty power of Apple's latest laptop, John Lewis also has this 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro reduced to just £1,459 – that's a huge £340 off the original price. This particular model comes complete with Touch Bar, Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD – an absolute steal at this price.

Apple MacBook Pro

Guys in the US, you're a lucky bunch. We've just come across this incredible deal at B&H Photo, where you can get a MacBook Pro for less than a grand. Yes, you read that right. A MacBook Pro for $999 – that's a $300 saving, and the best MacBook Pro price we've seen so far.

At that price, you'd be forgiven for thinking this deal is on a MacBook Pro from a few years ago. But alas, you'd be wrong. This is actually on a mid 2020 MacBook Pro model with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, retina display and Magic keyboard. This offer is set to end soon, so don't hang around.

Apple MacBook Air 2020

We're on the MacBook Air again. We did say we had a soft spot for it. But this time we're in the UK, Amazon specifically, with a top deal on the 2020 M1 MacBook Air. There's an impressive £110 discount, meaning one could be yours for just £889

It's hard to overstate how impressed we are with this deal. The 2020 M1 MacBook Air is basically still a brand new machine, with insane amounts of power and a beautiful screen. This, in our opinion, really does offer exceptional value for money. And this is coming from someone who bought this very same model less than a year ago for the full retail price. Excuse me while I go and cry quietly in a corner.

MacBook Air 2020

We won't lie, we've got a bit of a soft spot for the MacBook Air. It's a brilliant little, sorry, light, machine, packed with enough power to satisfy most, and is always cheaper than its bigger Pro sibling.

When it comes to offers on the MacBook Air, this is the best you'll find in the US right now. B&H Photo currently has the early 2020 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for just $829 – that's a huge $170 off the retail price.

B&H Photo did do a flash sale on Thursday last week, which dropped the price to $727, which was by far the cheapest we've ever seen the Air drop to. But we've a feeling it's highly unlikely we'll see that deal again this weekend, so we'd take advantage of this low price while you can.

MacBook Pro (2021)

We've just seen the first saving on the all-new MacBook Pro (M1 Pro, 2021) over at Amazon in the UK. They've taken £100 off the asking price, taking it down from an eye-watering £2,399 to still-very-much-eye-watering £2,299.

The same saving was also visible in the US until about a minute ago – it's now gone back to the full $2,699 over at Best Buy. The truth is, we're talking about our top pick of the best laptops for programming (or video editing or graphic design), and as it was only released recently, we're surprised that there's even this much taken off.

You can get the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro (with M1 chip) for $949, down from $1,299, saving you $350 right now at eBay.

This is the 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD model, in space grey. It's an Open Box listing, which means the packaging can be slightly distressed, but there's a free one year warranty for peace of mind.

In the UK, the best deal that we can find on the same model is over at AO. You can save £40 when you buy the 13-inch MacBook Pro, down from £929 to £889

Apple MacBook Air

We've just seen a few key MacBook Air (2020) deals disappear on Amazon US, making this B&H Photo deal on the M1-chipped MacBook Air (8GB RAM and 256GB SSD) the best one currently on offer. Save $100 on the original $999 price – you pay $899. As ever, we don't know how long this Cyber Monday deal will last.

If you want a souped-up version of the MacBook Pro we mentioned below, then B&H Photo is the place to go (yes, we're poets and we know it).

You can get a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro (2020), with that all-important M1 chip, with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for $1,549 at B&H Photo. That's a saving of $150, and is the same deal we saw over Black Friday. This deal is only available for a few more hours though, it ends at 11.59 (EST) tonight! (Fingers crossed it reappears for Cyber Monday, but we don't know if it will).

MacBook Pro 2020

This MacBook is still looking great (Image credit: Apple)

The 2020 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro is still a super capable machine. And there's currently $100 off when you buy at Amazon US, with the 256GB version costing $1,199 (down from $1,299).

Hello and welcome to our MacBook Cyber Monday deals live blog, where we'll be bringing you every top Apple laptop deal we can find.

Since Black Friday, and even before, we've seen some top deals on the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro. Some of these offers have been time limited and have already come and gone, some are still going, and we're sure there are yet more to come as we head into Cyber Monday.

So where are we at right now, in terms of top MacBook savings? Well, let's start with the high end MacBooks: in the US, you can save $100 when you buy the MacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) at B&H Photo today. It costs $2,399 and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. This model has only just been released so this is one you can really show off to your friends. The discount is only available until 11.59 (EST) tonight though, or until it sells out, so don't delay if you want one.

In the UK, John Lewis has knocked £100 off the same 16GB, 512GB SSD model, taking it down to just £2,299. Even better, you get a two year guarantee and three months of Apple TV+ thrown into the bargain. Happy days.
